Tie-up in weave structures (workshop)

Description

In this training session, we will explore the complexities of tie-ups in weave structures, which can vary significantly from one technique to another. Our goal is to help you gain clarity and confidence in designing your weave drafts. Maryse will use Fiberworks Silver 4.2.4.2 for Windows for her examples.

Maryse will guide you through the intricacies of profile patterns and block weaves, introducing you to an understanding of these weaving techniques.

Join us for an insightful session that will enhance your weaving skills and expand your design capabilities.

You will learn how to draw your own simple weave pattern (weaving pattern) using software tools to simplify your task. The software environment will be explained and tools/functions of the software will be used.

Please note that this is a trial class. Grades and information may be subject to improvement.

Level : intermediate to advanced

Equipment to attend the videoconference: PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device, a high speed internet connection, speakers or headphones to connect to the video conference via Zoom. A camera and a microphone or keyboard to be able to communicate.

Please note that course notes will be emailed to you before each session and it is your responsibility to print them out to have on hand during the training.
